Susanoo killed a dangerous monster like a King Ghidorah.

Susanoo found a strongest sword inside of the monster's tail.
The sword became one of the three treasure of Japan.(Amenomurakumo)
According to IseHakusando, the master of Shinto and Zen, actual shape of the sword is like not a typical Japanese style sword.
Later, the real story became a famous episode in Japan's myth.
"Susanoo VS Eight-heads snake monster called Yamata-no-Orochi"

The foreign enemy were violent descendants who had ruined oldest Hakusan dynasty of Japan.
Later, YamatoTakeru's story(A reincarnation of Susanoo, Strong similarity with him).
Also, severe flood of a forked river and a local hero who controlled it.
Most famous "lost" story is "Battle of Dan-no-ura" (March 24, 1185)
It was the final war between Heike and Genji family.
In history, 6 years old 81th Emperor Antoku, the imperial sword and jewel sank in the sea.
Imperial court and Genji family searched the treasures but they were not able to find it.
This sword was Kusanagi-no-turugi or its replica.
Because the real sword had been kept at Grand shrine of ISE for more than 2,000 years.(11th Emperor Suinin to 122th Emperor Meiji)
Emperor Meiji moved the sword from ISE to Atsuta Jingu shrine for Japan's future.
Atsuta Jingu in Nagoya places between ISE and Mount Haku.
The imperial sword is in Area 51 now.
To tell the truth, Emperor Antoku was alive. He fled to Shikoku.
By the way, Susanoo's 8th child is Suseri, a wife of Ookuninushi.
