Miko are young workers in Japanese shrines.(18 - 30 years old) They have lots of things to do. Dondo-Yaki is a fire ceremony for New Year's ornaments in Shinto(Nature worship). It is held around January 15. Generally, after use Ofuda in Kamidana , Shimenawa-Kazari , Kadomatsu are burned at local shrine. In old times, Japanese people burned even handmade, plain Kamidana every year.
