In Japan, there is an unique fact about Sake brewing or other fermented foods.
If people have a quarrel near the Sake barrel or foods, the fermentation process doesn't go well.
This fact is not a superstition.
As you know, our feeling, thinking and moods depend on bacteria that lives in inside the intestine.
Our regular thinking comes from bacteria of intestine not from brain.
Mental health depends on intestinal flora too.
To keep good bacteria in our body, we have to eat fermented foods.
Processed foods kills good bacteria.
But interestingly enough, we are able to increase good bacteria if we have positive thinking.
Even we can't eat fermented foods.
There is a relationship between good thinking and good bacteria.
I mean you can change the amount of bacteria without fermented foods.

The places were "next" to old tabooed places that local nature gods live in quiet.

So, most quiet places have been protected by shrines and the properties.

Nature gods use the power for protecting around their home.
If they find Kamidana-home-shrine in each household, they can visit and guard there too.
There are more than 85,000 shrines in Japan.

People in the world are able to cherish and protect nature without shrine architectures,
but Japan keep shrines forever. Why?
1, Because Japanese have been keeping an ancient forced agreement.
2, Because people are apt to forget about environmental protection.
If Japanese don't have Shinto shrines, future generations especially foreign people will ruin nature easily.
3, Because Shinto shrines are good boxes to preserve gratitude energy/feelings.
Local nature gods use the condensed thankful power that visitor give.
