DIY for wood holders / Japanese Butsudan ritual / Your ancestors are waiting

These are my holders for paper board.
You can't perform Butsudan ritual without them.
In Japan,we can buy them easily at Amazon Japan.(Link)
But I would like to share hand-made idea because
it is difficult to get these Japanese wood holders in other countries.

Important points
1,Natural wood color or white color only.Cypress material is ideal but you don't have to care about it.
You can use Wood building blocks for kids or Plain wood blocks that are sold in DIY store.

And I found some good materials at Amazon USA.

Or please go to Home depot.
I think store staff can make nice wood cut for paper board.

If you use rough blocks, please file the surface smooth.

You can also use table card holders.
They already have cut/incission.
(Or cut it yourself by saw)

In any case, paper board should stand straight.
If your holder's cut is too wide, please fill it with white paper or thin wood plate for stability.

Stability is very important in Butsudan ritual.
Of course the ritual is for your dead ancestors but Butsudan table's stability will affect your practical life.
By the way, don't cover your letters on the paper board by holders.

Please write your current last/family name on paper board like this
The place for ○○'s ancestors
Memorial place for the ancestors of the ○○'s
Words that correspond to  "The place" are a little bit larger and thicker than other words.
Please use a pen or writing brush.(Black or Gold ink only)
Do not trace each letter again after you write words once.
Please write it yourself.(Ceremony manager)
If you write it wrong, please throw it away with the paper board wrapped by white clean paper.
(Do not cut or bend the failed paper board)
