In Japan,many big trees in shrine or town are worshiped like that.
Because there are nature gods in trees.
We dedicate thanks to nature gods,ancestors and other precious things.
The Japanese act is called MATSURU.(verb)
Generally,repeating same act causes a birth of magnetism.
There are two kinds of magnetism.
1,magnetism that covers human body.Some people call it aura.
(Your aura is created by your act and thinking in life)
2,magnetism that stays in the repeated act place.
(You can keep the magnetism like a crowd in specific place)
We dedicate thanks in shrine again and again.
Originally,Japanese shrines are sacred nature spot.
But the repeated act helps nature gods to get bigger.
So,we never quit dedicating thanks to nature.
Some Japanese are misunderstanding about Shinto concept.(Japanese Nature worship)
They visit sacred shrine or sacred nature spot to get a personal spiritual energy.
This is the most stupid act but it is becoming popular now.
They will lose their luck sooner or later.
Human should not exploit/use sacred gods.
Don't let them work for human's private wish.
Your wishes will be accomplished by only your practical efforts.
We just have to dedicate thankful heart to gods and our situation.
Because we are already given all things to live by gods.
Please think about the value of ordinary things.
This is a basic Shinto concept.
Safety in your town...your health,house,family and job...Nation,the Earth...
We are allowed to live by various ordinary things.
Thinking about ordinary things is very very difficult.
Some wise people can do it superficially but eternal continuation is difficult.
If you cherish ordinary things from the bottom of heart,
you will be happy indeed.
If you can't do it,
you can't understand about GOD forever.
Because Shinto is the oldest and root religion in the world.
