Yamato-hime / Shaman princess of Japan / First priest of the ISE grand shrine

In Japanese ancient time,Shinto's great spiritual shamans were always women.
They were called HIMIKO.
It means "Woman who watches the Sun".
Himiko had strong power as shaman.
These women's father were successive Emperors.
Some people think that Himiko was only one woman at the specific era of Japan,
it is not true.
Himiko was just a title name of great shaman.
There were excellent Himiko in each era.
Current Himiko is Sayako Kuroda.
June 19 2017,she assumed the position of head priest of Grand shrine of ISE.
It was a big news for Japan.
Basically,Shinto is based on hard praying work of current Emperor and Empress.
But princess's hidden power is necessary to keep Japan.

Parent and daughter.

Yamato-hime was a daughter of 11th Emperor,Suinin.(Reigned period 29BC-AD70)
The princess is known that the first top priest of ISE grand shrine.
(ISE grand shrine is Japanese top shrine)

Until 10th Emperor Sujin, imperial regalia of Japan were located in the Emperor's palace.
It means Emperor always lived with these items.

Mirror,sword, and jewel.
The mirror is called YATA-no-Kagami.
YATA is derived from Yahweh.
There were strong relationship between ancient Emperors and Hebrew people.
Especially, the mirror is important because it is a alter ego of the Sun.
The Sun is worshiped as Sun goddess Amaterasu Ohomikami in Japan.
Also, sacred words on the mirror by ancient Hebrew language like this.
"God with you" or "Here is God"

But the Emperor's palace was not good for the treasures.
Because the Emperor's palace was located around Mount Miwa.(Nara prefecture)
Mount Miwa is super sacred mountain, very scary place
but it was not for Shinto's sacred place.
I mean the treasures and Mount Miwa have too different types of power.

Treasures were glowing and making a rumbling sound in the night time.
Because these are in the same place.
Emperor Sujin tried to separate these items each other and his princess was bidden to find a proper place for the mirror.
But the princess,Toyosukiiri-hime, couldn't find the good place.

The important work was succeeded by the next Emperor's daughter,Yamato-hime.
She was a small lady.(about 120-130cm)
She had a round big forehead and plump cheek.
This face feature is called Otafuku or Okame.(photo by wikipedia)
There are so many otafuku masks in Japan.
Of course it is derived from Yamato-hime.

Yamato-hime wandered around Kansai region to find the place.
Dark green area is Kansai region.
Her journey was so tough and severe.
But the effort made a secret barrier of Japan as a result.
This is an enlarged view of the Kansai region.
Toyosukiiri-hime's route is 1~6.
Yamato-hime's route is 7~23.
(Route of 15~23 is a shape of Big Dipper = Barrier of well-being of a nation)

Yamato-hime's final destination was current Grand shrine of ISE.(Mie prefecture)
It had been 90 years passed since former Toyosukiiri-hime's started the journey.
